The Bike Club are looking to contract a Senior Software Developer remotely from Porto, Portugal, who we plan to build our development team around. As the team becomes established, there will be the potential for this role to become a permanent employee of the Bike Club.

Day to day will involve working closely with other Developers and the Project Manager to help diagnose and troubleshoot bugs, refactor existing software, add new functionality, and create new software from scratch.

Please note, the successful candidate must be based in Porto, Portugal.

What you will be responsible for:

· Supporting internal teams with any software issues

· Using requirements set by the Project Manager to create new features

· Testing and evaluating new technologies to support business requirements

· Taking ownership of deployment, testing and integration pipelines.

· Developing existing programs by analysing and identifying areas for modification

· Adopting and ensuring industry best practices are followed.

· Guiding junior members of the team on best coding practices

· Performing code reviews and UATs for new features

We would love to hear from you if you have:

· Experience creating programs in Python and/or JavaScript (Essential)

· Experience working with APIs (Essential)

· Experience working with Shopify (Essential)

· Good level of English ? written and speaking (Essential)

· An understanding of working in an Agile/ SCRUM team

· Experience integrating 3rd party software with CRMs like Salesforce or HubSpot

· Experience with physical goods e-commerce businesses

· Experience working in a satellite office/remotely
