Job Overview and Responsibilities

Within the Procurement Service Line in Solvay Business Services and in particular within the IS Design & Build team, your main responsibilities will include the design & maintenance of Purchasing reports to support GBUs decision making process. The maintenance & making available the catalog of reports.

Some key responsibilities will be: Drive business requirements gathering and gap analysis via conducting workshops, assessment of operational processes and analyzing how these can be implemented within SAP.

  • Project leader for the Purchasing Reporting projects, be involved in various sized IS projects for business process improvement, new legal requirements, and Digital IT enablement i initiatives.
  • Coordinate the diagnosis and the functional specification design of finance reports working with the reporting platform and the Data Solutions team
  • Assess the feasibility and quality (design, performance,etc.) of the Customer reporting requests related to the Purchasing Data and processes
  • Ensure proper delivery and evolution of reports according to Customer reporting support requests (maintenance)
  • Monitor the reporting solutions markets and propose innovative solutions for customers (technological watch).
  • Manage external providers
  • Participate in the actions of standardization, optimization, automatization of the Reports
  • Market watch and benchmark our process/solutions
  • Interest in the WEB technologies, keep up to date with advances in computer technology and how this affects the business environment
  • Lead projects of being involved in various sized IS projects for reporting improvement, new business requirements, and Digital IT enablement initiatives.
  • Work with SAP developers implementing custom code solutions when necessary

Coordination role with IT Data teams, Procurement/Finance Data service units & different Solvay stakeholders to facilitate collaboration & deliverables.

Education and Experience

  • University degree
  • Minimum 5 years? experience in SAP Reporting (BW)
  • Experience of working in an international and multicultural environment.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of SAP and BW
  • Good analytical and Project Management Skills
  • Good communication and listening skills in order to translate functional needs into design specifications
  • Fluency in English, written and oral, in order to be able to attend/conduct meetings with customers, colleagues and providers and to write business specifications and technical documentation
  • Ability to influence the organisation to change how it works and to demonstrate change agent behaviours
