Opening of a tender procedure for the conclusion of a fixed-term employment contract A tender is open for the conclusion of a fixed-term employment contract, within the scope of the project ?Contratação de Recursos Humanos Altamente Qualificados? (Hiring Highly Qualified Human Resources) (CENTRO-04-3559-FSE-000161), under the following conditions: Nº of vacancies: 1 Scientific area: Civil Engineering or related areas. Admission requirements: ? Qualification level: PhD holders in the scientific areas of Civil Engineering or related areas. ? Other requirements: a. Experience in the area of Sustainability & Circular Economy b. Computer skills in the user's perspective and fluency in English, written and spoken. ? If the candidate is not a native speaker of Portuguese or English, you must have language skills at level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) in at least one of the two languages. Type of activities to be developed: The employee will be responsible for developing work in the area of Sustainability & Circular Economy, and Ecodesign, being involved in: ? Life Cycle Analysis Models (LCA) for wood products, as well as collaboration in the area of Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs); ? Identify and characterize waste and secondary products with the potential to generate new products, with the production of technical and environmental characterization reports; ? Carry out external consultancy actions to companies within the scope of LCAs and EPDs; ? Promote design as a tool to improve the competitiveness of the product through: (i) Identification of market opportunities through the adoption of product design tools, and (ii) Identification of machining processes associated with wood products and quantification of their variables; ? Contribute to the implementation of the use of national species in high performance products, promoting an efficient use of resources with a view to increasing the added value of the products developed; ? Establish partnerships between SerQ and business entities related to the sector to attract national and international investment that promotes the efficient use of resources with a focus on improving the performance of existing solutions on the market and new products; ? Promoting obtaining of funding through the elaboration, coordination and monitoring of research and innovation projects. Location: SerQ ? Innovation and competence forest centre, Association, Sertã, Portugal. Duration: The contract is concluded for a fixed term for a period of 24 months, on an exclusive basis, with the possibility of renewal. Financial conditions: The amount of remuneration is 2025,35?, corresponding to the remuneration level 31 of the Single Remuneration Table. Selection criteria: ? Curricular Evaluation (50%), in which following criteria will be considered: a. Relevance of academic curriculum (50%); b. Relevant previous experience in the area of expertise (40%); c. Other relevant merits (10%). ? Interview (50%) If none of the candidates has a final classification higher than 16, the jury may not award the contract. Jury responsible for selection: Professor Doutor Alfredo Dias, Doutor José Saporiti Machado e Doutora Sofia Knapic. Formalization of application: Applications must include: ? Application letter; ? Date and Form of Disclosure of Results: The results of the evaluation will be published by the 10th business day after the deadline for the submission of applications, by means of notification to the candidates, via email. Upon the disclosure of the results, candidates should automatically consider themselves notified to, if they wish, give their opinion at a prior hearing within a maximum period of 10 working days. In the same period, the selected candidate (s) will have to declare, in writing, acceptance of the Employment Contract. Unless there is a reasonable justification, the lack of a declaration within this period is equivalent to its waiver. In case of resignation or withdrawal of a selected candidate, the candidate with the highest rating will be notified immediately.
