Responsibilities:
Working with product and engineering teams to understand future software requirements and be able to translate them into annual global software requirements;
Creating and monitoring periodic reports for software expenditure, savings and forecasts;
Critically review and audit ongoing expenditure and forecasts and identify trends and potential saving opportunities;
Working with vendors to share requirements, get quotes and procure software;
Working with finance teams, giving answer to their requests related to the R&D area (budget setup and execution, capitalization, funded projects, ...);
Support creation of purchase orders' for R&D expenditure (software, outsourcing, ?)
Identify potential areas of continuous improvement within the R&D Strategy & Operations team;
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or management;
+3 years of experience in a similar role;
Awareness of IT /tech terminology to facilitate discussion with technical teams;
Experience managing costs, ideally SaaS software products;
Experience managing procurement projects and initiatives;
Ability to manage various projects simultaneously;
Good negotiation skills;
Fluent in english;
Proven automation and process improvement experience;
Excellent attention to detail;
Positive attitude: 'can do' approach;
Willingness to learn and get involved in a wide range of operational aspects and project initiatives;
Good handle of data analysis tools such as Excel/Google Sheets and BI tools (e.g., PowerBI, Domo, ...)
