Job Overview and Responsibilities

Within the Global Shared Services entity of Solvay, the Human Ressources Service Line aims to deliver trusted HR Operational Services for the Group including Payroll & Benefits, Global Mobility, Talent Acquisition, Learning, Reporting & HRIS.
The WW Payroll Accounting Specialist within the Payroll Platform Team, reporting to Payroll Delivery EMEA/LAM/NAM, will have the responsibilities :
To update and document the process
  • Apply Finance rules to define the payroll & provisions accounting processes
  • Support to the standard reconciliation within ARA on HR accounts
  • Update & Document procedures for any Payroll topics that are posting into Finances system/ERP
  • In accordance with Accounting Group standards, ensure a correct mapping for the Payroll elements that are reconciled and posted into finance systems.
  • Coordinate data collection and organize controls by external parties (Deloitte,...)

Ensure Process performance
  • Participate to projects when related to Payroll Accounting
  • Apply cost accounting elements rules in case of social restructuring plans
  • Ensure the payroll posting methodologies into Finance ERP?s is applied
  • Ensure the Payroll posting calendar is respected
Deploy and, manage and monitor the process
  • Collect information on cash/provision variations for information to Controlling/accounting
  • Advise local stakeholders regarding payroll accounting issues, or to prevent issues
  • Advise on the analysis of the Labor costs issued from Payroll calculation

Education and Experience

  • Accounting degree
  • Experience in Accounting > 5 years with international perimeter
  • Payroll experience or basic knowledge

  • Accounting knowledge & experience, preferably with Payroll Accounting experience
  • Experience in Global environment
  • SAP Finance and HR Payroll
  • Team player
  • Ability to work & collaborate in remote environment
  • Autonomous
  • English (portuguese is a plus)
