Job Overview and Responsibilities

The position is in Solvay Business Services (SBS), Solvay groups? global shared service unit in support of Solvay business/functional units. SBS provides Solvay business/functional units services in Finance, IT, HR, Purchasing, Customer Credit & Trade.
Purpose and key task summary:
  • Support SBS Lean Six Sigma (L6S) program
  • Manage unit belt pipeline and coach belt progression
  • Manage Projects pipeline
  • Plan and provide L6S training
  • Support the deployment and continuous improvement of the L6S program at SBS
  • Lead complex L6S projects
  • Drive Cont. Improvement (CI) Cultural Transformation, to support Group shared service unit ambitions in people and process improvements
  • Design, drive and support others/SBS leaders, to lead transformations, based on CI systems/toolbox
  • Develop CI people foundation through training and animating of CI Champions and line management
  • Evolve Cont. Improvement system, benchmarking and adopting internal Solvay Group and external market best practices

Education and Experience

  • Master degree in technical or business education
  • Prior working experience of minimum 10-15 years including at least 5 years in
> applying Continuous Improvement methods, specifically Lean Six Sigma method & tools > Managing significant transversal L6S improvement projects > In Shared Services environments or in support functions (Finance / Procure-to-Pay / HR / Order to Cash / IT

Skills

  • Certified L6S Master Black Belt, or very experienced Black Belt
  • Providing training + Coaching L6S belts through the execution of their projects
  • Strong Project Management skills
  • Change Agent, challenging mindset with strong Communication & Influencing skills
  • Results driven with business acumen
  • Autonomous with ability to design his/her own work plan to achieve end goals
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment, at ease with ambiguity & changing priorities
  • Experience or significant exposure to shared services / GBS environments or to Support functions ( Finance / Procurement / HR / OTC / IT)
  • Fluent English
  • Nice to have language: French
