Corporate Clients Group (CCG) is a commercial team within the CIB division of BNP Paribas which contributes to the ambition to be the European bank of reference for our corporate clients regarding their financing, financial advisory and cash management needs. This team of more than 1,100 employees is spread over some thirty territories in Europe, the Middle-East and Africa.

Within CCG, the COO Office is around ten people who ensure the profitability of the business as well as good control of operational risk and continuous improvement of the operational processes and framework of this team.

During your missions, you could interact with bankers in charge of international clients, sector experts, M&A experts and international managers. You will also be in contact with other functions of the Bank (Compliance, Audit, Finance).

Your experience within the COO Office Corporate Clients Group will enable you to put your knowledge into practice in the following areas: finance and accounting, project management, IT, company organization, optimization, human resources.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Permanent Control & Conduct

  • Perform controls on transversal costs linked to onboarding/offboarding staff process :
    • travel expenses (by sampling)
    • sharedrives and building accesses
    • yearly control on MIFID 2 and AMF certifications with help of Compliance and if need be with HR Learning & Development for training enrolment
  • Perform Know Your Customer (KYC) controls on client onboarding process to ensure data quality (such as the KYC client is performed or the Relationship Manager (RM) name is filled in GCARS tool)
  • Follow client complaints within all CCG scope (Coverage, M&A): from the statement of the complaint in Hobart tool to the closure of complaint.
  • Expand dilemma cases library and help to prepare dilemma sessions
  • Set up or update procedures
  • Help to implement Service Level Agreement (SLA) or TAC/NAC (New Activity Committee / Transaction Activity Committee)
  • Follow-up of Inspection Générale (IG) recommendations

Reportings & Finance

  • Reconciliate and update the headcounts? reportings : reconciliation at nominative level with the Headcount Monitoring tool (HCM) and update the global reportings to follow the FTE trajectory
  • Follow the Transformation initiatives by perimeter and by country (FTE ramp-up /ramp-down, savings?)
  • Produce the Conduct reportings to Global Banking Conduct team : mandate committees, conflicts of interest committees, client complaints
  • Adapt the reportings according to Management or Ad-hoc requests
  • Assist in the preparation of budget and forecasts (filling finance templates or supporting documents for presentations to management teams )
  • Challenge indirect costs allocated to the M&A Business
  • Update allocation keys in order to reflect the current activity

COO France support

  • Support to onboarding process : coordinate Paris office allocation with building office management team (teams shared on 2 buildings)
  • Create an onboarding pack for all CCG scope.

KYC

  • Contribute to the monitoring of overdue KYC as well as Remediation actions
  • Take part of improvement project on the field of KYC

PROFILE

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or Engineering
  • Experience in Operational Risk Management, Finance
  • Knowledge of the Corporate Banking environment is beneficial
  • Proactivity and ability to work in a demanding environment under tight deadlines (excellent time management and prioritization)
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills in English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel and PowerPoint mandatory)
