Admission Requirements:
Students enrolled in a master´s degree, integrated master's degree, or graduates enrolled in non-academic degree courses integrated within a higher education institution in the areas of Computer Science, Networks and Information Systems Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering or similar. The applicant should have some knowledge in logic programming and Android programming. Social skills will also be valued as there will be interaction with patients and health professionals.

Work Objectives:
The tasks to be undertaken will involve: evaluate the possibility of running the algorithms developed (or part of) in a smartphone environment; given the prediction, use the Rule Base System (RBS) to provide probable reasons for the forecast and advise the patient accordingly; acquire real data from selected cohorts of French and Portuguese patients through a mobile application.

Place of work:
The work will be developed at the Instituto de Telecomunicações based at the Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade do Porto, under the supervision of Professor Pedro Miguel Alves Brandão.
Duration:
6 months, eventually renewable or until the end of the project, whichever comes first. Start date: 01-05-2021 (or soon thereafter).
Monthly salary:
835.98 ? (net), according to the table of grant amounts awarded directly by FCT for positions held in Portugal (www.fct.pt/apoios/bolsas/valores). The payment will be made by bank transfer.
Selection criteria:

• C1 (50%)
  1. Academic degree evaluation with the following criteria:
  a. Bachelor?s degree in the area (Computer Science, Networks and Information Systems Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering or similar) - preferable;
  b. Bachelor?s degree in related area;
  
• C2 (50%)
  2. Research experience in the area logic programming and Android - according to duration and relevance to call

Each criteria, and the final classification F will be evaluated in a scale (0-20). The candidates will be ordered according to:
F = C1 x 50% + C2 x 50%
In case of a tie, the tied candidates will be ordered according to C1, then C2...
The Jury has the right to not admit any of the candidates that applied for this position whenever they consider that no candidate meets the minimum requirements for the position.

Communication of the results:
DEADLINES AND PROCEDURES FOR PRELIMINARY HEARING, CLAIMS AND APPEALS
Once the provisional ranked list of the evaluation results has been communicated, applicants have 10 business days to, if they wish, dispute the decision during the preliminary hearing phase, according to Articles no. 121 and the following of the Administrative Procedure Code (CPA).
The final decision will be disclosed after the analysis of the applicants? arguments presented in the preliminary hearing. The final decision can be claimed within 15 business days or, alternatively, appealed within 30 business days, after the communication of the results, respectively. Applicants who choose to submit a claim should present their arguments to the member of the FCT Board of the Directors with the delegated competence. Applicants who prefer to submit an appeal should present their arguments to the FCT Board of Directors.
Results will be published at the Instituto de Telecomunicações, at Lisbon. The selected candidate will be notified by email.
