Bitwala offers the world?s first all-in-one platform combining a regular bank account, crypto wallets, and seamless Bitcoin & Ethereum trading options. Our customers can easily buy and sell Bitcoin & Ether - whether online or mobile - with fast liquidity directly from their bank account. We're looking for an Accounting Reconciliation Manager to join our Finance Chapter!
In this position, you will be responsible for performing a variety of activities to reconcile accounts. You?ll partner up with our internal customers (Trading, Finance, Accounting, Product, Data Engineers, Customer Service) as well as external clients (solarisBank) to support the critical process of reconciling customer Bitcoin and Ethereum / EUR trading flow, internal transactions and account statements as well as derive Trading PnL.
Your mission

• Monitor daily, monthly, and quarterly compilation of reports as requested on Trading: Market Conformity, Value-at-Risk, Portfolio Re-Evaluation, and Reconciliation.
• Drive sourcing and reporting on all sources of revenue and costs in Trading and provide daily reports of the trading system?s activities
• Take responsibility for ensuring that the Bitwala Trading System books the correct amount of Bitcoin, Ethereum, EUR cost, and revenue derived from all activities in the Trading System each day and that revenue balances are recorded accurately over a significant amount of transactions and data.
• Develop and maintain automatization processes for fully automated reconciliation in cooperation with IT and Product
• Perform verification and reconciliation of accounts by determining the most appropriate methods to correct discrepancies and make corrections.
• Align with corporate and regulatory standards and procedures in reconciliation clerical activities.

• You?ve successfully completed a Bachelor in Data Science, Mathematics, Econometrics, Statistics, Physics or Computer science
• You?re known for a profound desire to find imbalances and solving complex inaccuracies
• You're highly experienced in Excel and VBA, but also advanced in SQL and Python, whereas AWS knowledge is a bonus
• You have excellent analytical skills and a passion for thorough and accurate processing of large amounts of data
• You have a patient and conscientious approach to complex tasks and complicated numbers
• English fluency, German is optional
