Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization
We are currently looking for an experienced SAP and Anaplan Planning Technology Consultant for our adidas Tech HUB in Porto. As a member of the central Tech team "Engineering SAP & Corporate - Planning" you will use your experience and knowledge to develop, support and improve capabilities of our global "Integrated Planning" Product Area solutions on SAP BI and Anaplan platforms.
In your role you will be responsible for:
Technical ownership of planning solutions
Support making of architecture- and platform-decisions and strategic choices based on your deep understanding of users' needs and practical experience
Design and implementation of best-in-class solutions using SAP and Anaplan planning platforms
Applying Agile principles and methodologies to achieve fast progress in Product discovery with end users
Consulting Product Ownership team in shaping requirements to achieve maximum business value in most efficient and effective technology approach
Managing external developers
Investigate operational needs, problems and opportunities, to continuously improve automated and non-automated components of tools or processes
Helping Operations Support team with complex issues investigation and resolution in Live planning tools, Level 3 support
Your team and department processes, methodologies, and foster a culture of continuous improvement Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
At least 5-year experience in IT
Minimum 3 years of experience in a technical consulting role in the field of planning
Hands-on experience of development in at least one of the following SAP areas: HANA, BW, BW-IP, BPC
Practical experience in SaaS planning platforms (e. g. SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP IBP, Anaplan) is a plus, esp. in case of integration with on-premises applications
Experience in delivering value in a remote team is a plus
Understanding of one or more relevant data integration technologies, e.g. CPI-DS, BW-capabilities, SLT, SDA, SDI, REST
Up to date with technology trends - especially in the SAP context
Own educated opinion on modern planning platforms
Strong communication skills
Good understanding of and experience in agile methodologies
Understanding of Financial-Planning- or Corporate-Finance-processes is a plus
Experience in Big Data technologies and Advanced Analytics is a plus

Four-year college or university degree with focus on Business Administration or IT or related areas, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Proficient spoken and written command of English
Certification in relevant technology (e.g. SAP or Anaplan) and methodology (e.g. Scrum) areas is a plus
