  • Core Team Member NPI (Manufacturing/Procurement);
  • Representing the function of CTM NPI in the development of new projects in terms of processes and related tools and components;
  • End-to-end procurement and tool&process management responsibility for type II projects from the sourcing process until SOP.

What your background should look like:

  • Representing the function of CTM NPI in the interdisciplinary Core Team (Regional and Global, with Business, Engineering, Finance, and Quality) in the development process of new products and processes, provide outputs and deliverables according to LEANPD
  • Overall coordination of the complete manufacturing processes (moulds/dies/assembly/supplied components & processes), which can be at internal suppliers or at external suppliers - focus on technology and procurement tasks
  • Support of PFMEA & manufacturing risk analysis with a focus on the overall process together with AQE
  • Support in making up feasibility commitments towards the customer
  • First assessment of tool-related requirements and concepts, including the voice of customer and operations
  • Detailed alignment with all competencies for project-specific specifications for internal and external needs
  • Supplier-and sub-supplier sourcing responsibility (Pre- and post- RFQ) in alignment with the commodities
  • Prepare calculation input for finance: gather all process-related technical inputs (cycle times, number of cavities, efficiency, number of operators needed, invest needed (CAPEX), hours manufacturing needed, change over times, lot sizes,?), so that Finance can create the P&L (Profit & Loss Calculation) and CER (Capital Expenditure Request)
  • Tool and equipment orders: support LOI, LON, PR, PO, WBS, DIS
  • Follow up the timing of all the toolings & components: create a project plan for all processes & components due to TE-related and customer timelines
  • Support all dimensional measurements and conditioning discussions with Metrology Centers and Product Engineering until final releases
  • Organization of master sample parts and sampling runs remotely and on-site if needed
  • Change management procedure: support and investigate TE internal & customer change wishes regarding impacts on time to market, cost and quality
  • Transfer new products and processes to manufacturing: plan the ramp up with operations already in an early phase
  • Guide and support the SOP at the final production location and organize needed support and after-care from suppliers
  • Prepare input for project reviews for the CTL

Main requirements

  • Industrial Master, Bachelor or Master of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • 1-3 years engineering in automotive, preferably process or product engineering or manufacturing engineering of electronic or electromechanical components
  • Broad technical understanding and experience in tooling/moulding/assembly and stamping processes
  • Expertise in Project management
  • Expertise in procurement competencies is preferable
  • Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills, good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to multi-tasking
  • Fluent English at negotiation level, other languages are a plus
  • Basic knowledge of automotive standards (APQP, IATF 16949)
  • Experience in working with multicultural and cross-functional groups
  • Ability to demonstrate strong customer focus and continuous improvement attitude
  • Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office
