We are a small but mighty green tech startup founded in Lisbon in April 2017.

We are on a mission to leverage spatial intelligence to make business greener!

We provide natural resources monitoring solutions by creating mosaics of satellite image pixels, that we analyze with advanced AI/machine models in our cloud-based platform.

Our services encompass a wide range of applications, such as: forest monitoring, fire risk mapping, vegetation monitoring around large-scale infrastructure (e.g power lines), flood risk assessments, environmental parametric insurance, and more.

The team currently consists of 7 environmentally astute entrepreneurs from 6 different countries with a focus on long-term green impact solutions.

We recently raised our first investment and are accelerating our international development, we are seeking sustainable-minded people to join us on this challenge!

Job description

We are seeking our first Head of Sales & Marketing to lead Tesselo?s commercial roll-out in international B2B markets! The candidate will act under the supervision of C-level management and in close collaboration with the Head of Customer Success.

At the moment, the focus will be on 2 markets: forest management (in particular timber producers) and vegetation monitoring around critical infrastructure (in particular electricity transporters).

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute our business development strategy including relevant events to engage prospective clients and foster partnerships with like-minded companies
  • Own full sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals
  • Define and implement digital marketing strategy to ensure Tesselo?s diverse market representation and actionable lead generation
  • Carry out marketing studies (market characterization, customer mapping, competition mapping, etc.) and formulate business development strategies
  • Oversee the creation marketing collateral (sales brochures, PPT presentations, website sections,etc.)

Experience You Bring

  • 5+ years demonstrated success in B2B sales and marketing
  • Strong interest and capacity to sell green technologies
  • Entrepreneurial mind-set: hungry for environmental impact
  • Superb digital and offline marketing skills to analyze market metrics , determine campaign performance, and pivot as warranted
  • Deep knowledge and proven ability to leverage Salesforce CRM and other digital marketing tools
  • Ability to partner with an agency and interns to create compelling marketing materials: graphics and content
  • Ability to translate and interpret Science into relatable content and pitches
  • Proven ability to forge fruitful relationships with a wide span of industries and clients
  • A degree in Engineering, Business, or Science related field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; bonus points for additional languages
  • Ability and willingness to travel around the world (when it?s safe!)
  • Creative skills for marketing content creation are a bonus
