Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
This is a key GBS Porto leadership management position for adidas. Along with his/her team, main responsibilities comprise driving across-category Tactical Procurement activity for Europe and/or North America and/or Latin America regions.
Our adidas leader will be mainly responsible for the development of purchasing competences as well as for management of key stake holders and supplier relationships. He/she will systematically drive continuous improvement initiatives for tools, people and processes. Among other, this strategic player will be responsible for delivering top customer satisfaction by dependably providing savings, compliance, client support and insightful analyses of reports across procurement categories (e. g. Marketing, IT, Professional Services, Facilities). Scope comprises partnering with multinational stakeholders in different time zones as well as guiding a +10 team of experienced, diverse /multinational buyers located in our Porto (Maia) offices in Portugal.
Key Responsibilities:
Consistently provide hands-on coaching, training, motivation and guidance to his/her team
Proactively drive productive relationships with global business partners, users and stakeholders
Support the E2E process improvement and manage day to day tactical buying operations
Ensure accurate and timely regular reporting (monthly, quarterly and annual)
Supervise operations and delivering of SLA's and KPI's
Guarantee full process and policies compliance and improvement across the business
Actively propose and implement initiatives to achieve world class performance and productivity
Full driving of e-commerce, e-auctions and automation initiatives
When managing special projects and day-to day performance, he/she will guarantee:
Process documentation and work instructions are in place
Ensure proactive cooperation with local teams
Operational excellence
Proven knowledge, Skills and Abilities on:
Leadership, initiative and results orientation
Five years on strategical and/or Tactical purchases, preferably in GBS environments
Experience on team management
Interpersonal skills and English oral/written communication
Enthusiastic and self-motivated team player
International/global mind-set
Strong customer orientation
Deep knowledge of process, internal controls and continuous improvement methodologies
Experience with ERPs, ideally with SAP / Ariba and ticketing solutions
Microsoft Office or equivalent tools
Six sigma qualifications are a plus
Other languages are a plus
Education and Experience minimum qualifications:
University degree in Business Administration, Engineering or similar
3+ years of team management experience
