What are we looking for?

We are recruiting a Key Account Manager to be part of the Vaccines Department at GSK Pharma Portugal.

With the aim to have a world free of vaccine preventable diseases, GSK strategy is to build up the number one vaccines business in Portugal. Improving access to our portfolio of vaccines and increasing vaccination rates throughout life in private market will be the key levers.

The Vaccines Key Account Manager will be responsible to scan the market, uncover and drive the vaccines? business opportunities while building a network of institutional stakeholders and business partners (e.g. Corporations, Insurance Companies, Private Hospitals?). Mainly focused in customer facing interactions he will closely work with a cross-functional internal team supporting development of relevant value propositions and the vaccine business strategy deployment.

Main Responsibilities

  • Scan the market, identify and target prospect institutional customers
  • Identify and engage with key stakeholders within the prioritized institutions being the single point of contact for the vaccines institutional business
  • Guarantee Private Hospitals and other relevant institutions have access to GSK vaccines? portfolio
  • Develop competitive intelligence activities to support the definition of the best value propositions and strategies for GSK Vaccines Portfolio in the Institutional Business
  • Develop and maintain contacts with key stakeholders
  • Develop and negotiate business proposals for GSK vaccines with institutional customers in close connection with cross-functional team and, respecting the competition Law (Generate Business Solutions)
  • Monitor Institutional business in place, to maximize its execution
  • Monitor Public vaccines tenders in place, to ensure flawless execution and trustworthy relations with health authorities
  • Coordinate and collaborate with all impacted internal stakeholders in the various activities related to negotiation and management of vaccines.
  • Ensure the adoption of ethical behavior and legal compliance relevant to the performance of his function
  • Close interaction and coordination with cross functional team (Sales team included), to maximize vaccines business sales while bringing insightful information from external market

Qualifications and Experiences

  • University Degree in Pharmacy / Management / Marketing / Economics, alternatively relevant experience in the pharmaceutical sector
  • Understanding the Private Vaccines Market (Institutional)
  • Understanding a complex network of relevant stakeholders and influences
  • Interpretation of the market dynamics, uncovering customer needs and insights
  • Anticipation of future market trends
  • Experience in negotiation
