We are looking for new talent to join the EMEA Sample Preparation Market Development Team. This opportunity is a new position resulting from the need for increased capacity for sample preparation driven by the COVID-19 pandemic. You will contribute to the transformation of business strategy into regionally relevant inspiring marketing campaigns that create customer value, revenue and growth.

As the EMEA Market Development Manager, Sample Preparation, you will be responsible for partnering with the Global Market Development team and other internal partners to develop and execute marketing plans and positioning; develop and execute the regional go-to-market strategy and support the commercial organisation that sells the portfolio to maximise their success.

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Establish the EMEA marketing strategy for IVD and GPLE Automated Sample Preparation (DNA, RNA, protein)
  • Work closely with all stakeholders to achieve financial and marketing goals for the portfolio
  • Develop messaging and tools that communicate the value/brand directly to customers through multiple channels.
  • Be part of a cross-functional team, and as an individual contributor to develop and execute tactical action plans
  • Gather feedback from customers, global and other regional counterparts, and field sales to identify new market trends, segmentations and opportunities. Use information to impact business/market development to drive a sustainable competitive advantage.
  • Identify and respond to opportunities in real time, and gain cooperation of others to implement efficient solutions
  • Interact with regional and global product management to understand the implication in the region for new product introductions, manage the EMEA launch process in an engaging and collaborative manner. Interact closely with regulatory affairs and legal teams to ensure all marketing materials comply to EMEA guidelines.
  • Perform detailed analysis & routine reporting around business performance, customers, markets and segmentation
  • Provide regular oral and written communication of metrics, successes, failures, best practices to improve the overall operating efficiency of the team
  • Attend regular business unit meetings, both strategic and marketing and voice EMEA actions and needs.
  • Ensure all sales channels have appropriate tools and training to achieve their goals.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Good understanding of basic life science techniques and applications.
  • Minimum 3 years? experience in a marketing role, with a strong understanding of the marketing function, marketing planning/strategy and tactical execution.
  • Marketing experience focused on instrument portfolios and associated consumables would be a distinct advantage both in a research and regulated (CE-IVD) environment.
  • Ability to solve problems from routine to complex scope.
  • Ability to build strong networks and influence across a matrix organisation without direct authority
  • Ability to work at a fast pace and to prioritize effectively to manage a high workload
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Possess a can-do positive attitude with a desire to succeed as well as the ability to overcome failures to produce success.
  • Field travel as necessary (up to 25%)
