Role overview

The position

We are currently looking for a full-time Finance Business Partner for our production facility in Maia (Porto region), Portugal. Our new Finance Business Partner will play a critical role in collaborating and partnering with Finance and Business colleagues. The Finance Business Partner reports to HBKs Head of Finance Business Partnering (Operations) and is responsible for the partnering with the local site management, global operations management and global business support, ensuring coherent financial insight and transparency and to support the business with strong, data-based, financial advisory.
Primary responsibilities
You will be involved in a variety of activities including financial reporting, planning and forecasting; preparing materials for business reviews and outlooks/budgets; providing transparency, cost control and insight; and providing value-adding standard and ad hoc financial reporting. You will deploy and follow-up on site standard costing, gross margins, inventory management and will be instrumental in supporting the business in striving for performance improvements. In addition, you will support Group and local Management on statutory matters.
Primary activities
Operations partnering, controlling, financial reporting and analysis

  • Monthly closing of Gross margin including analysis
  • Monthly closing of Inventories and provisions including analysis
  • Responsible for standard costing maintenance and follow-up
  • Reporting and evaluation of operational KPI?s
  • Forecasting and budgeting
  • Capital Expenditure ? budget, forecast and control
  • Supporting local management in resource planning
  • Enhance end to end cost transparency across the business
  • Drive cost and resource efficiency
  • Supporting operational reviews by gathering relevant performance metrics and standard reports

Continuous Improvement
  • Support the business via curiosity and a continuous improvement mindset
  • Support Global Finance in implementing our ONE Finance strategy and organization, a.o. involving centralization of certain activities
  • Further accuracy, availability and transparency of data, a.o. via BI-tools
  • Propose process improvements end to end

Monthly closing activities and annual accounts, tax and legal matters
  • Support the preparation of monthly financial statements of the legal entity, in compliance with IFRS and Statutory GAAP accounting principles and company procedures, within the timelines set
  • Ensure Financial Statements give a true and fair view of company?s business and that financial internal controls are in place
  • Ensure that Statutory Annual Accounts and Tax Returns are prepared and submitted timely
  • Support to the payroll provider with the payroll preparation
  • Manage the relation with local audit and tax consultants

Professional qualifications
  • You hold a BA or BS degree required with strong background in finance/business management discipline.
  • Further you have min. 5 years of documented experience in a multinational environment and in a range of finance and controlling areas (eg FP&A, Financial Audit, Costing, Operations Finance , Corporate Finance, Commercial Finance,...).
  • Certified Accountant is an advantage
  • Expert in Management Information, Business Analysis and Financial Planning Processes
  • Highly proficient in the use of the Microsoft office tools, notably Excel and PowerPoint, Power BI and affinity for analytic tools
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Ability to work with SAP
