Following the vision of becoming the world's number 1 road trip provider and an authority in all-things-road-trip, we are hiring a Copywriter & Brand Specialist. As part of our Sales team, reporting directly to the Head of Inbound Marketing, this role aligns content production and management skills with a Sales orientation. The position is based in Indie Campers' HQ in Lisbon, Portugal.

We are looking for a dedicated Copywriter & Brand Specialist with a clear growth-oriented mindset, who is inspired by Indie Campers' mission of democratizing road trips, enabling the freedom of movement and connecting travellers worldwide. Your commitment, creativity, problem-solving approach and market drive will play a critical role in the achievement of high-performance results from sales and customer satisfaction perspectives through boosting efforts of customer acquisition, retention and overall satisfaction with the Indie experience.


What you´ll do:

This is an incredible opportunity to be Indie Campers' storyteller, creating unique brand experiences through words and visual content while impacting the business' bottom line by meeting customer satisfaction and sales KPIs.

  • Write, edit and proofread content aligned with the company's sales strategy (location-based content, blog/editorial content, itineraries, POIs, experiences, product pages), ensuring that the message always speaks to the target audience and is aligned with User Experience and Traffic Acquisition goals;
  • Write and proofread compelling, accurate, and on-brand copy for all Indie Campers' communication initiatives;
  • All the copy on the customer journey (UX copy) site is your responsibility, by making it consistent with the brand values and optimized for a seamless user experience.
  • Define and create visual branded content (photographic, videographic) that is aligned with the brand's goals to be promoted on multiple channels of distribution (blog, travel tips, social media, YouTube and more);
  • Upload, update and manage content across the Content Management System platforms used by the company;
  • All the content across social media platforms is your responsibility, by making it aligned with the brand's tone of voice and social media strategy (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Medium, others);
  • Develop consistent strategies to ensure top public profile ratings for the brand across its main social review platforms (Trustpilot, Facebook, Google, TripAdvisor), in terms of quantity and quality;
  • Assist on community and public profile management, by owning the approach to incoming messages, partnership requests and public reviews;
  • Own the brand story across all channels, maintaining a consistent voice and vision and value proposition, assuring that the brand is correctly communicated at each touchpoint with the customer;
  • Develop growth-oriented strategies that are forward-thinking for branded content and social channels that is insightful, culturally relevant and shareable.
  • Report, monitor and act on KPIs for all your areas of content creation and individual performance;
  • Brainstorm visual and copy ideas with other members of the Sales team, actively participating in the ideation and execution phases of sales and marketing campaigns.

Who you are:

  • 2-year minimum experience in brand development and copywriting;
  • English full proficiency (native or equivalent level of proficiency);
  • Proficiency (or nativeness) in other languages is a plus (namely Spanish, German or Italian);
  • Excellence written, spoken and visual communication skills;
  • Excellent organization, workflow and time-management habits;
  • High levels of proactivity and problem-solving skills;
  • Experience in blog management via Wordpress is a plus;
  • Great reporting and analytical skills to help create, track and evaluate KPIs;
  • Extreme can-do attitude ("get stuff done" mindset);
  • Passion for creating superior customer experiences;
  • Experience in social media management in a high-growth, fast-paced environment is a strong plus;
  • EU work permit.
