Job Description

We are looking for new talent to join the EMEA GSD Marketing Team. You will drive the transformation of business strategy into regionally relevant inspiring marketing campaigns that create customer value, revenue and growth.

As an EMEA associate regional marketing development specialist, Agribusiness, you will be responsible for partnering with the Global Marketing team and other internal partners to develop and execute marketing plans and positioning; execute the regional go-to-market strategy and support the commercial organisation that sells the portfolio. Channel responsibilities include but are not limited to digital marketing, sales force, and distributors.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve financial and market goals for designated portfolio of Agribusiness
  • Participate in a cross-functional team as an individual contributor to develop and execute tactical action plans that drive growth in key channels and customer segments
  • Drive lead generation programs that result in sales and long-term customer satisfaction
  • Develop messaging and tools that communicate the value/brand directly to customers through multiple channels
  • Gather feedback from customers, global and other regional counterparts, and field sales to identify new market trends and opportunities
  • Use information to impact business/market development to drive a sustainable competitive advantage
  • Identify and respond to opportunities in real time, and gain cooperation of others to implement efficient solutions
  • Perform detailed analysis & routine reporting around business performance, customers, markets and segmentation
  • Provide regular oral and written communication of metrics, successes, failures, best practices to improve the overall operating efficiency of the team

Nature and Scope:

This position interacts with varying levels of internal and external stakeholders requiring the ability to build, utilize, influence and negotiate with a multitude of different leaders and teams.

This is a high visibility position as an individual contributor, and the successful candidate should be able to scale the transformation of relevant business strategy into regionally relevant inspiring marketing campaigns that create customer value, revenue and growth within 120 days.

Field travel as necessary (up to 30% travel throughout EMEA)

Experience and competences:

  • Bachelor?s degree in molecular and/or cell biology or related discipline ? preferred, not required
  • Minimum 5 years? experience in a marketing role, or in a commercial role preferably on agrigenomics, agribusiness or animal health sector
  • Thorough understanding of the marketing function, planning and strategy
  • In depth knowledge of life science research markets, with knowledge of competitors
  • Ability to work on problems of routine to diverse scope
  • Ability to build strong networks and influence at across a matrix organisation without direct authority
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, to diverse customer audiences and peers to leadership
  • Must be willing to learn and take coaching from peers and supervisors/superiors, both in success and failure aiming to continue to improve and excel
  • Must have a can-do positive attitude with a desire to succeed as well as the ability to overcome failures to produce success
