What are we looking for?
We are recruiting a Medical Scientific Liaison reporting to the Medical Director Portugal, in the Specialty therapy area.


Main Responsibilities
Through in-field scientific engagement with healthcare providers and external experts, the Medical Scientific Liaison fosters a more educated healthcare environment by:


1. Communicating their deep knowledge of GSK data in the context of overall patient care to ensure evidence-based understanding of the science behind GSK medicines in the area of expertise. Responsible for the identification and segmentation of external experts within the therapeutic area under responsibility.


2. Gathering valuable insights on GSK products and services, and on medical and scientific information to better understand patient needs and evidence gaps;


3. Responsible for the medical strategy trough medical projects including disease awareness, medical education, advisory boards and KEEs and physicians Societies engagement plan.


4. Develop and execute effective medical plans and integrated evidence plans by leading assessment of unmet medical needs and scientific strategy by using medical insights from medical and commercial partners.


5. Collaborate closely with market access, marketing and sales force to provide input into medical strategic direction in the short, medium and long term; is a core member of the Brand Team.


6. Lead the Local Evidence generation plan supporting independent study programs and studies sponsored locally by GSK; and support to GSK global clinical research.


Qualifications and Experiences

  • MD, Pharmacist, PHD and other life-sciences or equivalent
  • > 3 years of relevant experience in Medical Affairs in a role successfully engaging in scientific exchange with external experts
  • Solid scientific background in Hospital/Specialty areas;
  • Competencies including communication skills, project management, clinical research insights, business and market knowledge.
  • Key cross-functional collaboration with local and regional medical and commercial key teams
  • Portuguese & English, verbally and in writing
