Since 2015, BNP Paribas Wealth Management has a competences center in Lisbon named the Portugal International Markets Hub (?PIMH?). This center manages certain activities for the International Markets (?IM?) sites of BNPPWM namely Switzerland, Luxembourg, Germany and Monaco.

BNPP Wealth Management operations teams are currently growing in Portugal. This is a very interesting opportunity to join the growing PIMH family as a Corporate Action ? Team Leader.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

The Corporate Action team is responsible for the booking of corporate actions on securities and funds on the portfolios of the clients.

As a Team Leader of Corporate Action Team, your role would be to:

  • Supervise and organize the booking of the corporate actions on securities and funds.
  • Follow the resolution of cash and securities pending items
  • Grant output delays on bookings within predefined standards
  • Implement the right controls to secure the output, improve the process permanently and write the procedures, produce monthly reports on second levels controls
  • Manage the team, recruit, organize the annual evaluation and the training plan
  • Report and alert the management regularly
  • Communicate and maintain a good relationship with other WM entities

MAIN TASKS OF THE TEAM

  • Analyze and management of corporate actions events received from the market
  • Chasing of the custodians for resolution of discrepancies.
  • Management of corporate actions letters for WM clients.
  • Validation of swift instructions
  • Booking of the operations in our systems according to the options elected by the clients
  • Follow up and resolution of the pending cash and securities items in relation with the reconciliations team
  • Participation to the permanent improvement of the processes with daily suggestions.
  • Communication with other back offices teams, relationship managers and other WM entitie

PROFILE

  • Master degree in Economy, Finance, Management or equivalent
  • First experience in management
  • Business knowledge and knowledge of the securities business and corporate action activity, with several years of experience in back/middle office jobs
  • Leadership skills
  • Ability to manage and organize a team
  • Good interpersonal skills and team player
  • Good communication and client oriented
  • Strong resistance to stress
  • Ranking of priorities and sense of risks
  • Fluency in English, French fluency is a plus.
