The focus of this role is to combine statistical and machine learning techniques using the most appropriate programming languages to analyze and interpret complex data and provide insights about our business.!

For example, help our clients with cutting edge AI tools to help them launch procedures more efficiently or to provide information about the use of our platform by a client, to be provided to commercial teams when making additional sales!

Responsibilities

Preprocessing the data, usually by using a mixture of shell scripts and a programming language, specifically in Python;
Iteratively computing features and tuning parameters to improve the quality of the models;
Participate in the development and analysis of the current POC projects that are using Neural Networks, NLP (Natural Language Processing) and OCR (Optical Character Recognition), for example our ChatBot implementation;
Maintain and evolve our current features in production, mainly using in NLP and Neural Networks;
Interact with several areas inside our company, from the development team responsible, to the sourcing platform, to the finance department;
Think outside of the box!! Identify possible ways to help our clients use our software in the easiest way possible.

Education & Experience

Degree in Computer Science or equivalent;
Experience with Python (academic or professional, up to 1 year);
Experience with data modeling and machine learning software.

Skills & Knowledge

Good applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.
Valued skills in SQL and BI SQL Technologies (SSIS, SSAS);
Interested and passionate for big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Mahout, Pig, Hive);
Native Portuguese speaker;
English (written and spoken) mandatory;
Spanish (written and spoken) is valued;
Ambition and Autonomy;
Ability to work in a team and by objectives.
