MISSION

Ensuring access to the market (hospital segment) of Sanofi Genzyme products in Portugal under your responsibility by collaborating with Hospital Pharmacists, Payers and other decision-makers. You will carry out your work effectively managing, in line with the Company?s strategy and values, the resources and means that the company makes available to you.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In close coordinating with the team (Sales, TALs, marketing, MSLs, among others) in accordance with the strategy set for each product in the access plans, ensure the achievement of the market access objectives set for each product/therapeutic area in each key hospital. In this context and for new launches he/she will lead and coordinate the access, considering also the functions and responsibilities of other teams (sales, medical etc.).

EXTERNAL CLIENTS:

  • Ensure the file of relevant clients to the access of medicines, their segmentation, updating and maintenance, complying with the established reporting processes in a timely manner.

  • Establish your management plan for key clients, ensuring sustainable relationships over time, based on transparency, mutual respect and stricter adherence to current regulations - both Sanofi?s own and the Pharma-Industry Code and any other legislation applicable to activities under your responsibility.

  • Conduct trade and price agreements and negotiations (previously agreed/approved by the corresponding GBU) to gain or maintain access to our medicines. Innovative agreements (shared risk, payment by results, etc.) are included and will be os special relevant for the follow up of the market access in-field team with the support of any other needed funcions such as mecial and/or sales as needed.

The following are considered as target clients:

  • Regional /local commissions (such as the one for LSD) for the evaluation of new medicines and/or the approval of individual treatement in Rare Diseases.

  • Hospital pharmacy commissions, with special relevance to Hospital Pharmacists, at relevant Hospitals.

  • HTA (Health Technology Assessment Agencies) if applicable.

DESCRIPTION:

  • Lead and coordinate the market access plan in the designated areas / hospitals / region, particularly for new launches.

  • Participate in the design and monitor the various actions/projects encompassed in the strategic plan to achieve and maintain market access in the different hospitals under your responsibility.

  • Identify potential areas for maximizing market access to enhance business outcomes.

  • Promote and boost coordination between the different teams in the field (sales, medical, Public Affairs, KAMs) with the aim of promoting alignment and planning, implementation and monitoring of local access plans.

  • Be an effective bi-directional communication channel between the office access team and the rest of the functions in the area and vice versa, and transmit and communicate on a permanent basis the rules, procedures, strategies, and in general company guidelines, as well as those generated in your area of responsibility.

GENERAL TASKS:

  • Perform all the necessary reporting reports to properly monitor regional access plans and submit to the appropriate teams.

  • Manage the allocated investment budget and perform budget control, ensuring maximum resource efficiency.

  • Promote the collection of information about the competition and in general about trends in the environment related to the access of medicines. Add and analyse this information and transmit it to the Organisation.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • University degree.

  • Additional training in the area of Pharmacoeconomics or other disciplines related to the access of medicines, commercial areas and/or sales will be valued.

  • High level of English.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous responsibility, at least two years, in access, commercial or scientific areas.

  • Experience in coordinating remote teams and working in matrix organisations.

  • Experience in management and CRM management.
