At Talkdesk, the Web Strategy Team is based on multidisciplinary expertise to build the next generation of digital user experiences. We combine the creativity of our UI UX designers, along with the programmatic magic from developers as well as the strategic SEO and localization minds, to deliver personalized experiences with custom content that engages our user audiences and generates business results. As a Web Team Localization Program manager you'll be working very closely with the entire Web Strategy team as well as other regionally based marketing leaders, stakeholders and collaborators and you'll be responsible for building and operating a new localization platform, processes and deployment of localized Websites critical to our global expansion strategy.


Key responsibilities:

  • Manage localization activities, including project planning, coordination, delivery, and reporting.
  • Improve localized content quality using monitoring processes and standards of operation for developing translation databases and glossaries.
  • Identify challenges and inefficiencies in workflow and systems, working with worldwide partners to find pathways to improvement.
  • Research and incorporate industry best practices and innovation into our localization and translation practices and plans.
  • Using project management methodology, plan, scope, and deliver projects on time, within budget, and to a high standard, ensuring they meet the requirements of the business.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Demonstrated experience in localization tools, localization vendor management, and translation management systems/Machine Translation technology
  • Experience working in a global, cross-functional, multilingual team
  • Experienced working in a fast-pace, agile-driven environment
  • 3+ years of solid localization project management experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluency in one or more European languages
  • Experience with double-byte/bidirectional languages (Japanese, Mandarin) is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of XML and HTML
  • Knowledge of Content Management Systems (CMS) tools - Wordpress preferred
  • Experience managing translation assignments and working with a language service providers
  • Experience working on the localization of multiple content types including Web pages, PDF assets

As our new Web Localization Manager, you will own the localization program for Talkdesk.com. You will collaborate with all marketing departments as well as regional teams in international markets. You will work with minimal supervision to create, manage, coordinate, and successfully execute plans to complete localization projects on time. You will communicate important milestones and achievements as well as risks as these relate to projects.
