THE PURCHASING SPECIALIST ROLE

As Barkyn's Purchasing Specialist, you will support the Operations team on making Barkyn an optimised purchasing and stock rotation machine. You will play a major role in evaluating suppliers' offering against key business criteria and the required product specifications, negotiating purchase agreements and optimising already existing processes.

Specifically, we expect you to:

• Control and manage multi-supplier (Worldwide) and multi-warehouse (Europe) stock and purchasing;
• Reduce stock costs through inventory run optimisation, MOQ negotiation and payments to suppliers;
• Plan stock purchases by product and by warehouse, together with the Finance team;
• Optimize stock distribution routes between warehouses;
• Research and identify prospective suppliers.
  

Mandatory:

• 2+ years as Purchasing Specialist or Stock Management Control
• Fluent in both Portuguese and English
• Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
• Detail oriented & rigorous

Brownie points for:

• Degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a similar field preferred
