Mission:

The Senior Quality Manager for Bel Portugal reports to the Hard Cheese Platform Quality Director (based in the US) and is responsible for coordinating quality activities for the Hard Cheeses platform in Portugal (Vale de Cambra and Ribeira Grande Plants), according to the objectives defined by the Group:

• Direct coordination of the plants? quality (functional report from the plants quality managers)

• End to end quality coordination: products? development and manufacturing to consumer?s evaluation for products sold.

This position will also be in charge of transversal working mode with multiple and multicultural teams = platform?s technological coordination, R&D, plant directors, Engineering, Marketing, Portugal Leadership team? as well as contributing to multiple projects (new products, CAPEX, ?) and anticipation of impact on the plants? quality management, with different complexity levels.

Profile:

• Good English level (mandatory);

• Engineer or master?s degree in food science and/or equivalent training;

• At least 8 years? experience on production plant or in quality or regulatory role;

• Leadership / Relationship: Be able to promote standards, the application of project management processes and the group's strategic axes

• Knowledge of process and products technology of the platform

• Good knowledge of audit methods and quality improvement tools (Statistics)

• Good knowledge of certification standards (ISO, GFSI), quality management tools and food risks.

• Methodical, rigorous, strong analytical and synthesis skills.
