Job Details

To support Managers, staff and wider HR colleagues through the provision of fit for purpose HR process advice and support ensuring business risk is managed appropriately in-line with customer needs by:

  • Being first point of contact for managers on all HR / Payroll related enquiries (HR Systems, Policy, Process and guidance) covering the end to end employee lifecycle including: Recruitment, Onboarding, Pay and reward, Benefits, Absence, payroll etc.).
  • Facilitating the use of HR systems and maximising the use of manager and employee self-service
  • Developing sound customer relationships and taking the time to understand the wider needs and implications and manage expectations.
  • Escalating complex issues, concerns and projects to the wider HR Network as required, ensuring ongoing case ownership and clarity of responsibilities to ensure business focused risk managed outcome.
  • Monitoring and providing commentary and analysis of data that supports managers and HR colleagues across the business brands.
  • Taking absolute responsibility in investigating, resolving queries and delivering customer response even when wider support or expertise is required.
  • Working collaboratively with manager and team colleagues in the prioritisation and handling of workloads supporting others within HR Service Delivery and the wider HR function as required.
  • Ensuring staff personnel files are up to date and HR systems are maintained by managers and staff to high quality standards, in line with policy, good practice and ensuring maximum integrity and security of data at all times.
  • Ensuring all writing and filing of necessary correspondences and other related documents are accurately completed in a timely manner.
  • Providing a transactional HR service ensure processes are administered, process guidance is consistent, and systems are well managed.
  • Monitoring and collating data that reflects customer service and stakeholder feedback where appropriate.
  • Managing and monitoring tracking systems where required to ensure the transparency of HR services and enable effective customer management.
  • Supporting the delivery of major projects such as salary review, bonus & annual appraisals.
  • Ensuring that all new processes are aligned to HR Operations Standards & Templates wherever possible.

    Supporting the delivery of Payroll through a their party taking ownership and providing query and issue resolution where needed by:

  • Providing technical knowledge on a range of payroll matters ensuring that the payroll service is maintained, and service levels are met.
  • Carrying out the payroll processing and production of standard reports.
  • Reconciling reports to ensure payroll accuracy
  • Producing Gross to Net, Net to Gross, payslips & costing files for Finance
  • Updating payroll records, ensuring all employees are correctly recorded on the system and payments are correctly calculated for all starters and leavers.
  • Processing and input of sickness, and statutory payments calculating adjustments where necessary.
  • Calculating exceptional pay elements to ensure appropriate rates and adjustments to pay elements arising from changes being made mid-month.
  • Processing settlement agreements ensuring appropriate Tax payments are calculated and paid
  • Issue payslips as well as other annual earnings statements as needed
  • Support monthly reconciliation and submission.
  • Administrating overpayment recovery processes.
  • Processing all pensions payments, notifying pension providers of Starters/Leavers
  • Ensure that payrolls are compliant with local legislation, SOX rules, data protection requirements and internal standards.
  • Prepare for, facilitate and support internal and external payroll audits.
