The Finance Manager role is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the legal entities (TE Portugal and TEC Spain) financial operations. Supporting the general manager and all functional leaders, the Finance Manager is an integral part of the legal entity management team. The Finance Manager will manage a team of direct and indirect reports that will manage accounting and tax matters for the (TE Portugal and TEC Spain) legal entities. A successful person in this role will be able to demonstrate solid financial and managerial experience with a strong affinity for business partnering and talent development focus.

Tasks Summary & Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of the legal entities (LEs) financial operations (TE Portugal and TEC Spain)
  • Primarily responsible for all financial audit-related activities, including local statutory audits, US GAAP audit support, tax audits, and Internal Audits
  • Primarily responsible for tax-related activities, including tax filings and any related audits, developing relationships with and supporting external tax advisors, and coordinating all local tax matters with Corporate and Regional tax teams as required.
  • Understand ERP (SAP) and Business IT-Systems to be able to lead and improve LE financial processes
  • Coordinate the LE?s month-end closing cycle with FSSC (US GAAP) and own activities around local regulations
  • Improve performance, simplify processes and leverage synergies; at the same time, ensure effective governance controls are in place to ensure compliance with US GAAP, local regulations, and company policies
  • Partner with the EMEA Controlling to implement and monitor the execution of strategic objectives for the finance organization as they impact the LE; bring customer-focused orientation to interactions with your local internal customers (i.e., LE functional leaders) and FSSC
  • Develop and coach finance team in both LEs


Main requirements

  • Degree in finance, accounting, business management ou similar;
  • 5+ years of experience in finance in a multinational and manufacturing environment;
  • Comprehensive understanding through demonstrated experiences with (1) local statutory reporting requirements, (2) US GAAP, and (3) tax accounting & reporting requirements;
  • Particular experience in controllership, including financial operations
  • Prior experience managing a team, including remote teams
  • Strategic thinking
  • Strong English (spoken and written).
