Candidates with a Master?s degree and education in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, or similar areas.
We are looking for a young, highly motivated and creative researcher, to take part in a project that will advance the state-of-the art of membrane simulations.
Preference will be given to candidates that:
- are eager to participate in an ambitious project involving different computation techniques;
- look forward to learning and employing basic and advanced modeling techniques;
- are proficient in English;
- are motivated to progress as PhD students;
- are available to start by July 2018.
A half-page motivation letter must be included stating the candidate?s expertise and how it blends into this project.
This fellowship focuses on identifying of the limitations involved in membrane pore simulations with the Martini model. Advanced modeling techniques will be employed to force a system into porated states and visualizing elements that oppose this.
The fellow will develop work and gain expertise in:
- The simulation of biologically relevant events;
- The visualization of structural and dynamic data;
- The use of advanced enhanced-sampling methods;
- An applied use of open-source software and operating system.
